Who we are

A lawyer, a programmer, and an environmentalist walk into a bar…

We come from Mexico, France and the United States. We have professional backgrounds in law, sustainability, computer science and even music. We share two things in common: a commitment to addressing climate change, and a love of earning points.

Lydia came up with the idea for Jellyfish while working for a large international environmental organization and getting increasingly frustrated with her lack of impact. A firm believer in the power of individuals to make a difference, she wanted to find a way to help people understand the impacts of different products and at the same time make sustainable shopping more fun. Lydia is a self-identified "pesce-vegan", and lives in Washington DC with her partner and their German Shepherd.

Lorena is an environmental lawyer and researcher specialized in climate change. She met Lydia while working for a global environmental organization and completely loved the idea for Jellyfish! She's driven to find solutions to engage people in becoming agents of change by making informed decisions on the climate impacts of the food we buy. Lorena lives in Germany, she loves riding her bike from town to town and she is also commited to fighting solitude suffered by elderly people.

Léa is a dreamer who wants to find innovative ways to help the planet. Although she dreams of living in a little educative farm surrounded by animals and forest, she first wants to do something meaningful. After working with big environmental organisations, she was disappointed to see the lack of transformative ideas. Always thirsty for knowledge, she studies environmental law, biology and even design. When Lydia told her about Jellyfish she did not hesitate a second to join the team. This was the innovative idea she was looking for.

Lucas self identifies as a geek. He has been working and playing with computers and technology his whole life. Ever interested in science, technology, and the environment he has recently began trying to make a difference on a personal level by cutting back on single use plastics, driving an electric vehicle, and consuming more eco friendly products. When Lydia proposed Jellyfish, an app to help educate and change other’s shopping habits it made sense to jump onboard and join the team.

Our Mission

We firmly believe climate change is all of our responsibilities. We built Jellyfish to help everyone help the planet. Through tracking, donations, smart purchases, and even a little cash back, we believe everyone can make a small difference in their shopping habits. Those differences add up!
